My name is Ben Durrant, and I’m reaching out for your support to help my father and others in the community of Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.

I spent my childhood in Saint Elizabeth, and it holds a special place in my heart. This past hurricane season, my father and many of my relatives saw their homes severely damaged by the storm. The roof of my father’s house was torn off, leaving him and my family vulnerable to the elements. Many of the homes in the area suffered similar destruction, and the structural damage has made it difficult for them to rebuild without outside help.

We are raising funds to make essential repairs, starting with my father's roof and the most urgent structural fixes. The support we receive will go directly to purchasing materials, and addressing the immediate needs of these families as they begin the long process of rebuilding their lives.
