One of the top issues facing the HPC-AI industry is the development of new talent, especially from underrepresented populations. At this year's CARLA Conference, held in Kingston, Jamaica in September, we met dozens of bright and enthusiastic students, all of them eager to participate and seeking mentorship to enter the field of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
Now these schools and their students are struggling to recover from Hurricane Melissa, the strongest Atlantic hurricane on record. They have immediate needs for power and internet connectivity, and long-term challenges in helping these promising students reach their potential.
In partnership with SCALAC and the HPC-AI Leadership Organization (HALO), please join Intersect360 Research in supporting these schools. All raised funds will be divided equally between the two participating universities and the boys' and girls' high schools:
- University of Technology, Jamaica
- University of West Indies, Mona Campus
- Wolmer Boys' School
- Immaculate Conception High School
Thank you for your support of these bright students in the wake of a terrible disaster.
