Thankfully, our family suffered no loss of life or serious injury due to the impact of Hurricane Melissa in October 2025. We are deeply grateful and blessed to have weathered the storm without any tragic occurrences. However, the hurricane devastated the infrastructure in the eastern and southeastern areas of Jamaica, and our family has been without power for two months now. Most of the property damage to our homes was minor, except for one cousin whose roof was completely blown away. She has had to move in with other family members until her home can be repaired.

Living without power has been incredibly challenging. There is no refrigeration for food, no hot water, no lights, and no way to use basic appliances like the washing machine, dryer, stove, oven, or microwave. Even charging phones and other devices has to be done in a vehicle. These daily hardships have made recovery slow and difficult, but our family remains hopeful and determined to rebuild.

We are asking for help to raise funds for 4-6 generators to restore some normalcy and comfort, and to replace the roof for our cousin whose home was most affected.
