Stephanie Porter, my coworker and a proud native of Jamaica, has always been passionate about giving back to her community. When Hurricane Melissa, a powerful Category 5 storm, struck Jamaica on October 28, 2025, it left behind catastrophic damage and heartbreak. The storm was the strongest ever recorded to hit the island, causing widespread destruction, significant loss of life, and leaving many families in urgent need of support as the country enters a long-term recovery phase.

Moved by the devastation in her homeland, Stephanie began collecting clothing and food donations to help children and families who lost so much. She is committed to ensuring these essential supplies reach those who need them most, and she will personally deliver the donations to Jamaica. However, the costs of purchasing food and transporting the clothing are significant, and Stephanie cannot do it alone.
