Dear Family and Friends,
I’m reaching out to you today to ask for your help and support for my nephew, Jalen, a 28-year-old who has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma. This news has come as a shock to all of us, but we are determined to face this challenge together with faith, hope, and love.
For those who may not know Jalen personally, you might know his mother, my sister and one of my very best friends, Shelley Clark. Jalen has always been a hardworking and dedicated individual, committed to providing for himself and helping others whenever he could. However, as you can imagine, the rigorous treatment process, including chemotherapy, has made it impossible for him to work. The physical and emotional toll of this battle has left him unable to complete routine tasks.
The prognosis is good, and we are optimistic about his recovery. However, for Jalen to focus fully on his healing, it’s crucial that he doesn’t carry the additional burden of worrying about bills and financial stress. Although his job provides some income, it’s simply not enough to cover all his living expenses during this difficult time. Thankfully, he does have medical insurance, which is covering his treatments, but there are still many other costs that need to be met.
This is where we humbly ask for your help. We are seeking contributions to assist Jalen with his day-to-day expenses while he undergoes treatment and recovery. Your support, no matter the amount, will make a tremendous difference in alleviating the financial pressure on Jalen, allowing him to concentrate on what truly matters—beating cancer and returning to the vibrant life he loves.
Additionally, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this message with others who may also want to support Jalen during this challenging time.
On behalf of Jalen, Shelley, Courtney, and our entire family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. Together, we can help Jalen overcome this battle and look forward to brighter, healthier days ahead.
With heartfelt thanks,
Nneka Owens
