We are raising funds for Jacob Mehr, who was having a wonderful Sabbath Sunday and testing out his zip line in the backyard, prior to the kids using it on the 7th of September, when it snapped, and he fell about 9 feet.
A long road of recovery is ahead, and we would love to support Jake, Brenda, and their 3 beautiful kids with the airlifting and rehabilitation expenses and medical bills. Jake is over 2 hours from home in Robbinsdale. Jake's spinal cord is impinged at C5 & C6. They are hoping to release that in surgery. He will have an MRI after the procedure. Then Jake will be moved to ICU. The nurse says to plan 10-14 days before moving into a spinal rehab facility. Long road ahead.
Jake is at North Memorial Hospital.
Please pray for Jake and family. Please pray for Strength, miracles, and healing.
Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Surgery on September 9th- The neurosurgeons were concerned about the continued swelling of Jake's spinal cord at his injury site. They operated on the cervical junction below his previous area, they fused C6 & C7. They also removed bone on the back of his neck to make more space for his spinal cord and fuse C4-C7.
