Hello!

My name is Jakki and I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this! I'm a full-time student aiming to become a teacher, and I also work full-time to support myself.

I am currently in the process of receiving treatment for anorexia nervosa and will have to travel out of state to a residential/inpatient treatment center to receive the support I currently need. I've struggled with anorexia on and off for over a decade and have made the ultimate choice to recover. I realized I can't do it on my own anymore. After a recent medical scare and malnutrition beginning to impact my physical health as well as worsening pre-existing conditions, my treatment team and I have decided to move forward with residential.

In the past year, I have had a difficult time finding places that can accommodate my mobility issues and chronic illnesses and was lucky enough to be accepted to one that is welcoming with open arms.

The money donated will be used to pay for the treatment itself as well as travel and ensuring that I can focus completely on my recovery. It has been a very difficult road to finally seek help for something I've known for most of my life, but I'm truly excited to be able to change my life for the better!
