Help the Bajares twins with Spina Bifida and TRAF7!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jamie and I'm starting this fundraiser for one of my dearest friends Jacqueline (Jaki). She and her partner Alex were blessed to be pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl) and on Monday April 22, 2024 she gave birth by cesarean at Winnie Palmer Hospital at 35+5 after going into spontaneous labor.

They knew ahead of time that baby Artemis (girl) had spina bifida and hydrocephalus and would need surgery within 24 hours for repair.

What they didn't know (wasn't caught on scans) was that Aristotle (boy) had multiple heart defects - he has 4 anomalies and at birth lost oxygen for an extended amount of time. He is on full life support for respiratory and cardiac activity while the NICU team has him on therapeutic hypothermia and are waiting to warm him to assess brain function.

Jaki lost a lot of blood during surgery and with a critical hemoglobin of 5 received a blood transfusion today.

This family has just gone through several major medical events and will be discharged without their babies while they receive NICU care and are assessed. As a friend of this family, a mother and a birth worker I'm asking for financial support on their behalf. All money is connected to their account as beneficiaries.

They will need gas to travel to and from the hospital, food, and time off of work to be fully present for everyone's healing.
