Hi my name is Jake, and I’m reaching out today because my life has been turned upside down by a terrible accident that has left me facing unimaginable challenges.

Just a few weeks ago, I was in a horrific accident when a driver ran a red light and crashed into me while I was crossing an intersection. In an instant, everything changed. I was rushed to the hospital with multiple life-threatening injuries, including a broken ankle in five places and a severe de-gloving injury to my left foot and ankle.

Since then, I have had six surgeries in the hopes of saving my foot, but despite the best efforts of the medical team, the damage was too extensive. I am left with one option, which is amputation.

I am looking forward to this journey towards recovery and am trying to remain positive and strong.

However, the costs of multiple surgeries, upcoming amputation, prosthetics, and ongoing medical care are staggering. Insurance only covers so much, and the financial burden is overwhelming.
