Hi everyone,

My name is Jake, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been selected for Team California to compete at the Saltwater Kayak Fishing Nationals in Florida. This isn’t just a big tournament it’s a shot at making the USA Team and competing for a gold medal on the world stage.

I first fell in love with kayak fishing years ago when I was stationed in Japan. With just a small kayak and a couple of rods, I’d head out onto the water chasing fish and finding peace. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion that’s shaped who I am today. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to hone my craft, compete in tournaments across California, and grow in this incredible community.

Making the Team California roster is the result of countless hours on the water and years of dedication. Now, I have the chance not just to represent my state but to fight for a place on Team USA and chase the dream of a gold medal.

I’m raising funds to help cover housing, transportation, and all the miscellaneous costs of getting to Florida and competing at this level. Every bit helps from gas and lodging to shipping gear and tournament expenses.
