Hey Everyone, as you all know, I do a fundraiser every April (Jake's bday month) to put in his scholarship fund to give out to young men for Seminary etc. since he was never able to go. It is something I look fwd to doing every year, but also dread at the same time, because my momma heart misses him so, but I know he's with the Lord, because he believed, and one day I'll be there with him all because of a man named Jesus, so I want others to know about Him to!

As you know the money goes into Jacob's scholarship fund, but this year I'm doing things a little different. I feel as though God has laid it on my heart to take some of the money and donate it to a Christ- centered rehab center for men and women called Project Hope.

To raise money they sometimes sit outside Walmart and other local stores and sell homemade candles, cross necklaces, wooden crosses, etc. and Jake would always buy something or donate whenever he saw them because he knew it was for such a good cause as he dealt with his own battles, and now whenever I see them I do the same.

While laying in bed the other night it hit me that maybe I should donate to them this year, and God confirmed it for me that very next morning before I even got out of bed. Lol

So I looked a little deeper into the program and was so impressed with all they do for these individuals who have pretty much lost all hope in their brokenness, yet to have it restored with just 1 decision to follow Christ who has given them the strength to fight through/overcome their personal battles. The testimonies alone are an inspiration of how God can turn the worst of circumstances into something BEAUTIFUL! I know He has for me!

So I will be putting money into Jake's scholarship fund, for the next eligible candidate, along with a donation to Project Hope! Thank you all for your past donations! And know its helping MANY but most importantly spreading the gospel!!! XOXOXO
