I'm Jane Allo and my good friends Kristin and Bob Holzworth's son Jake is fighting for his life. Jake is just 7 years old. On the evening of June 27th, Jake suddenly spiked a high fever and became unresponsive to his parents. They rushed him to the emergency. The doctors discovered that Jake is battling kidney disease. The situation was so critical that they had to put him in a flight for life helicopter to Children's Hospital.

The doctors are doing everything they can to get Jake stabilized. Today, June 29th, they had to start dialysis. Jake has advanced kidney disease and will likely continue to need dialysis and eventually a kidney transplant. The medical bills are already stacking up and all the while the income stream lessened. Mom, Kristin, has to be with Jake 24-7, leaving Dad, Bob, to care for their other son, Bobby, and trying to work.

Jake is a very special young man. He is Autistic and this is very difficult for him to understand. It is not only a battle for his life physically but emotionally too. This is unbelievably challenging for him and what would be a tremendously difficult situation for any 7 year old is multiplied by Jake's Autism.
