Hey y'all, this is Tati from Commitment. I'm making this fundraiser to benefit our beloved friend, guitarist and founder of this band- Jake Smith.

Last week while at work, Jake had an accident that resulted in him severing 2 tendons in his left hand, leaving his index finger disabled. He underwent one surgery already and is due for a second one. We are waiting to find but if he can get his health care coverage back in order to schedule the second surgery, otherwise the future of his hand is up in the air. Without another surgery, this injury could be permanent and life changing.

I know this all sounds very dramatic and tragic, but real talk, it is. Our band would not exist without Jake. He will be unable to work or play guitar for 12 weeks. Financial stress is already enough of a debilitating burden on its own, now he can't even play music on top of that, which we know is one of the main things that keeps this man going.

We are hoping to raise enough money to ensure Jake can focus on rest and healing over the next 3 months, meaning rent+utilities+food can be covered and getting as much of his medical bills covered as possible while missing out on work and the little extra money that playing shows provides.
