Our friend and beloved member of the SJUBB community, Jake lost his wife Dana suddenly this week, leaving behind Jake and his 2 young children, Rhys and Makara. Those of us in the St. John's basketball and Big East online communities know Jake as Western Canada's biggest, most fun-loving St. John's fan, who has traveled to New York several times to see our beloved Johnnies and share beers with friends. Those of us who have gotten to know Jake more closely know he has a giant heart, and is the type of guy who would do anything for those he cares about.

Now it's our turn to show up for Jake, Rhys and Makara. All funds raised will go to the family's needs in the near term to alleviate the financial stress of this tragedy and to assist with longer term needs, such as Rhys and Makara's college education. Any support means so much.
