Jake Lesher and his family are facing a difficult challenge after a devastating fire on Saturday, July 4th destroyed the office area of Lesher Diesel. The fire, believed to have been caused by lightning during severe storms that night, wiped out all their office equipment, diagnostic scan equipment, essential paperwork, kitchen, bathroom, and storage area. Thankfully, Jake was working in the garage area when the fire started and was able to call 911. The quick response of volunteer firefighters and a passerby who reported the fire prevented it from spreading further, for which the family is deeply grateful.
Jake is the sole provider for his wife and their three young children. He works tirelessly to support his family and serves many local businesses, including school bus companies, trash removal services, the Millersburg Ferry, and more. Anyone who knows Jake knows he is a good person who genuinely cares about helping others. Now, with Lesher Diesel unable to operate due to the loss of electricity, water, and essential equipment, Jake and his family still need to take care of their day to day expenses. On top of this, they are unable to do inventory or determine equipment replacement damages and costs due to the ongoing fire insurance process which could be lengthy.
Funds raised will help Jake and his family with necessities such as food, diapers, household bills, and the immediate costs of getting the business back on its feet. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping the Lesher family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
