On the morning of July 4, our beloved son, brother, and friend, Jake Keenan, was brutally attacked while out with friends in New York City, where he lives and works. Following a game of pool, Jake was assaulted by a group of 3–4 men. He was able to escape, but not before suffering serious injuries in an experience no one should ever have to endure.

Jake sustained severe facial injuries, including a fractured orbital bone that required emergency surgery to prevent permanent damage to his eye and the surrounding nerves. While we are incredibly grateful that he received the care he needed, he now faces a long road to recovery.

We are asking for $5000 to help cover Jake’s medical expenses, as well as the income he will lose while he is unable to work during his recovery. Jake works in a fabrication studio and is unable to lift any weight over 5-10 lbs. We are unsure when he will be able to return to work. The doctor says that recovery would take six to eight weeks. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping relieve the financial burden so he can focus on healing.

We know there are countless people and causes deserving of support, and we are deeply grateful that you would consider helping Jake during this incredibly difficult time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
