Support Jake in his fight against Leukemia
Donation protected
Dear friends and anyone else who would like to help,
My brother, Jake Temple, was originally diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on March 11, 2022. He fought a fierce battle, received a Bone Marrow Transplant in July 2022, and was considered to be in remission afterwards … until this past month.
At the end of November, on Jake’s 28th birthday, we got the unfortunate news his leukemia was back. This time, the leukemia cells had begun penetrating his kidneys and heart which were greatly impacting their function.
Now, a month post-relapse, Jake has already completed a 21-day Chemotherapy regimen and will be starting another 21-day round this week. We know the Chemo is working, but we also know there is still a long road ahead of us.
To know Jake is to love Jake. He is the most caring, compassionate, and loving young man, and has certainly been the most incredible big brother anyone could ever ask for.
Jake had recently moved back to Alamogordo, New Mexico where he is a special education teacher, but he is currently receiving treatments in Northern Virginia as he requires many specialists to provide him the care he needs. For nearly two years now, Jake’s adult life has been consistently put on hold to focus on beating cancer.
As we experienced the first time around, a cancer diagnosis comes with unimaginably high medical bills, copays, and many other additional costs to ensure Jake is comfortable and well cared for during his battle.
This GoFundMe is being set up for Jake to relieve some of the financial burden that a cancer diagnosis brings. This battle is extremely difficult on its own, especially when fighting it year over year. We want Jake to focus on his health and his recovery, rather than the ever present worries of financial burdens.
Many have reached out to ask how they can help Jake or support our family during this challenging time. If you know our family, we inherently are not ones to ask for help - but in times like this, it truly does take a village. If you could make any size donation to him it would help alleviate his financial worries and allow him to focus on beating leukemia again!
Please keep the positive thoughts coming.
On behalf of my entire family and along with my parents, Cindy Temple (Mom) & Tom Temple (Dad), thank you for taking the time to learn about Jake and his story.
With Love,
Ally Temple, Jake’s little sister
