One month ago, Jake Bruun and his loved ones received devastating news: doctors found masses in his lymph nodes, lung, stomach, and tailbone. Just a week later, Jake was diagnosed with melanoma cancer, and soon after, they learned he also had brain tumors. This week, Jake underwent brain surgery to remove the largest tumor, and we are so grateful to share that the surgery went well—he is now recovering in the ICU. Cancer treatment will begin once he recovers. Despite the challenges ahead, Jake’s family feels hopeful about his treatment and expects many more years together.

Jake is a devoted father to six children and a cherished friend to many. He has always been there for others, giving his time and support to help those in need throughout the community.
