Jacob Meyer is an incredible athlete and a cherished member of the Black Spruce CrossFit community. For the past three years, Jake has inspired everyone around him with his determination, positivity, and unwavering spirit. Despite having Down Syndrome, Jake never lets his disabilities define him or hold him back from learning and growing. He works hard every day, both in the gym and in his life outside of it, always striving to be his best self.

This year, Jake achieved something truly remarkable—he qualified for the 2026 Adaptive CrossFit Games in San Jose, CA. Jake is currently ranked 1st in the US and 6th in the world. This is a huge accomplishment and a testament to his dedication and love for the sport. The Games bring together athletes from all over the world, including Australia, Canada, Spain, France, and many other countries. However, attending the Games comes with significant expenses, including competition fees, travel, food, and lodging.
