I wanted to share that our friend Jairo has been hospitalized for several days due to a severe case of pneumonia. He was initially at Phelps and has since been transferred to Lenox Hill, where he will continue his recovery for the next several days. Jairo was intubated and under anesthesia for a significant time, but I’m happy to report that he has now been extubated and is awake and eating.

As you can imagine, the extended hospital stay and ambulance transfer will lead to considerable medical expenses. I hope we can come together as a community to support Jairo during this time. Any assistance, big or small, would be greatly appreciated!
