Fundraisers for Jaimie Carol Love's Medical Expenses

Please help Jaimie raise funds to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Jaimie was born and raised in El Segundo, California, where she graduated from ESHS in the class of 2011. Since her NF2 diagnosis as a teenager, Jaimie has endured multiple brain surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. Jaimie currently has over twenty brain and spinal cord tumors. She lives with the rare disease (NF2) for which there is no FDA approved treatment.

This year, Jaimie has faced difficult issues with health insurance coverage due to life changing events. Therefore, the insurance companies currently available to her, deny her access to an NF2 specialist and deny her treatment. With her most recent MRI's, we received heartbreaking results indicating that her tumors are growing at a rate which can cause life threatening effects. Because viable insurance coverage is unavailable to Jaimie, she is forced to pay for her speciality doctors and treatments out-of-pocket.

We were hoping to get Jaimie on a promising drug trial at Massachusetts General Hospital but she has been denied acceptance into the trial due to limited space. Our only option now is a chemotherapy which is not FDA approved for her NF2 diagnosis but has proven in the past to help stabilize her tumor growth. The company that makes the chemotherapy drug has helped provide the drug to her but we have to cover hospital visits and costs associated with the infusion of the chemotherapy drug. We are estimating our out-of-pocket medical expenses to be substantial.

Please help in any way that you can. This will greatly encourage Jaimie to countine fighting for her health. The financial burden takes such a toll. Jaimie needs to focus her energies on getting healthy. Thank you in advance for your help and support. Jaimie needs us now more than ever.
