Support Jaime's Victory Over Cholangiocarcinoma

Dearest friends,

My former wife, Jaime Lukity, mother to Kai and Mara, has recently been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of bile duct cancer known as Cholangiocarcinoma. If you don’t know her personally, she is an amazing mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and is loved by so many. Jaime and her family/friends are devastated. This revelation has been incredibly hard on everyone who loves her.

In the face of this diagnosis, she has researched extensively and sought out the best course of care for healing and total recovery. Jaime has embarked on a routine of three chemotherapy medicines on an eight day cycle for three months, followed by liver resection surgery sometime in September. The goal is to take out the affected areas and leave only healthy liver tissue. At the same time, she will be doing a personalized anti-cancer protocol of supplements and pharmaceuticals. This will be coupled with various energy and wellness therapies, none of which will be covered by insurance and will be completely out-of-pocket. She has been told that her extensive treatments are classified as “curative” and that is the best news we could hope for.

Jaime has a very long road ahead of her and this presents an ENORMOUS physical, emotional, and financial burden on her and her family. Jaime is unable to work as most days are a struggle just to get out of bed. Her husband, Chris’s ability to work has been greatly affected by his need to accompany Jaime to MANY ongoing doctor’s appointments and treatments. Jaime’s treatments are going to be difficult, debilitating, and the need is dire. To make this situation even more difficult, the same week Jaime got her diagnosis, her beloved father passed from cancer himself.

We appreciate and welcome all financial donations to help with her family’s living expenses, her medical expenses, and all the support services she’s going to need. Her journey to heal from this rare and aggressive cancer will be outrageously expensive and difficult. Please help take the enormous stress of finances off their very full plates.
