In late April, our bright, outgoing, and loving 10-year-old nephew Jaime experienced a sudden life-changing medical emergency. Jaime was diagnosed with a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and had to be urgently transported by air transportation to Northern California, where he remains hospitalized and continues fighting through recovery.

Jaime is an incredible kid who brings joy everywhere he goes. He loves building Legos, playing Super Mario, and making people laugh with his fun and energetic personality. Right now, instead of enjoying the things he loves most, he is facing a long road of rehabilitation and healing.

Throughout this difficult journey, both of Jaime’s parents have remained by his side every step of the way while his siblings stay with family, waiting for the moment they can hug, laugh, and play with him again. Although Jaime’s dad has thankfully been able to work remotely during this time, his ability to work is limited and their household income has been significantly affected.

With ongoing medical care, travel expenses, temporary stays near the hospital, meals, lost income, and everyday family responsibilities, the financial burden is quickly becoming overwhelming.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will help Jaime’s family cover essential expenses while they focus on what matters most — being there for Jaime as he heals and regains his strength.
