This beautiful young lady is Jaidyn Okafor. Jaidyn graduated at the top of her class with an honors diploma, 30 hours college core credit, she was student council president, state student council vice president, a certified pharmacy technician, and performed with show choir. She worked so hard to keep her grades up and get into an amazing school. Jaidyn's goal is to be a dermatologist and to work with Doctors without Borders helping the less fortunate. She was accepted to Loyola University Chicago and had $50,000 worth of scholarships (every scholarship the school offers). She started in August and has fallen in love with her school and Chicago. Jaidyn's father, who hasn't been a big part of her life, had originally promised to pay the remainder of her first year's tuition for her to be able to get acclimated and get a job to save up for the following year. Unfortunately, he flew to Chicago on her birthday and informed her that he will no longer be paying her tuition due to saving for his own retirement and helping his parents with money, pulling the rug out from underneath her feet. I myself work in law enforcement and am a single parent and help her as much as I can, but it isn't feasible for me to cover her tuition though I am trying as hard as I can. Jaidyn is at risk of losing her dream that she has put so much time and effort into and she deserves to be able to get her education and help others the way she has always dreamed of.
