- Hi. As most of you may know, I’m Jaicee. I am from Salina, KS and I work at Schwans. Last month, I was dancing and dislocated my knee for a 4th time. I found out that a piece of my patella broke off and the doctor told me that I would need surgery to ensure that this doesn’t happen again and to remove the bone. This time around, recovery from the dislocation has taken way longer than in the past. I still can’t walk without pain or support. I’m getting the surgery on 6/10 so that I can get better but unfortunately and embarrassingly I’ve exhausted my financial accounts getting bills paid. I’ve been without work for a month on leave— unpaid. I’ve used all pto and I’ve asked my parents to help where they could but they too are struggling. The out of pocket expenses for my MRI and surgery will be high and I won’t be making any money for the next couple months due to recovery. If anyone is willing to donate any amount to help me out or share this, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m so embarrassed to ask for this sort of help but I don’t really know what else to do.
