My name is Jany Alfonso, and I am creating this fundraiser to help my father, Jafet Garcia.

On November 10, 2025, our lives changed unexpectedly when my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After undergoing surgery and a biopsy, the results confirmed that it is an aggressive, high-grade malignant tumor.

Due to the impact of the tumor, the left side of his body is extremely weak, severely limiting the left side of his body. He currently relies on a wheelchair for mobility and requires ongoing physical therapy in hopes of regaining strength and function. Because of this condition, he is unable to work and needs daily assistance.

Given the severity of the tumor, my father urgently needs to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment as soon as possible. Although we are actively trying to obtain Medicaid for him, the process has been very challenging, and we are struggling to cover both the mounting medical bills and daily living expenses. We are in the process of trying to get marketplace insurance but cannot afford it.

We created this GoFundMe to help cover medical costs, therapies, treatments, and essential needs during this difficult time. Our hope is that he regains his strength and can go back to doing the things he loves and allow him to have a better quality of life.
