Support Jaelynn's Dance Training in Canada this SUMMER! ☀️

Hi, my name is Jaelynn and I'm a ballet student at Tulsa Ballet. I've been dancing since I was 2 years old and I've been training at Tulsa Ballet's Center for Dance Education for the past 7 years. Tulsa Ballet is a professional ballet company that was founded in 1956, and it's Oklahoma's largest arts organization. Their school, The Center for Dance Education, offers the highest level of education with teachers who have performed with prestigious companies around the word. I'm currently enrolled in Tulsa Ballet CDE daytime intensive program, which I've attended for the past 3 years. I study in ballet, pointe, repertoire, modern, contemporary, character, and jazz. I also take classes in PBT and pilates throughout the week. This school year I was in the Senior Performance Ensemble and Tulsa Ballet's Mentorship Program. I have also had the opportunity to attend Tulsa Ballet's Senior Intensive for the past 3 summers. I was given the opportunity to teach younger dancers this year, which I absolutely loved!

Recently I was chosen by the school principle at CDE and the artist director for Tulsa Ballet's professional company for an amazing opportunity this summer. I was chosen to be a part of an exchange program with Canada's National Ballet School (NBS) in Toronto. I will be spending 4 weeks at the end of this summer studying ballet, pointe, and repertoire; just to name a few. NBS was established in 1959. It offers an Olympic - calibre dance training for a professional ballet career. For those 4 weeks I will be training Monday - Friday, while living in their boarding room dorms.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Which I truly believe will be life changing. This type of training will help towards my goal of one day becoming a professional dancer, and receiving a contract with a ballet company. Since I was a little girl I have worked incredibly hard to get to this point. While I know I still have many years ahead of me before I reach that level, I know this type of training will greatly help guide me towards that goal.

I've created this fundraiser to help assist my family in my training abroad this summer. My family has worked so incredibly hard over the years to get me to this point. I will be on scholarship for the actual training portion of this experience, but I still have many expenses that I am needing help with.

My expenses include : Room and board, meal plan, laundry services, fees, flights, and any other expenses directly related to my training; such as pointe shoes, ballet shoes, leotards, tights, and lots and lots of toe tape!

**ALL funds will be DIRECTLY applied to these cost.**

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone in advance for your consideration and generosity!! I feel so incredibly blessed for this opportunity and any and all help is so greatly appreciated!

I will be posting updates along the way so everyone can see what all I'm accomplishing this summer! Also below there are links to Tulsa Ballet and Canada's National Ballet School's websites if you would like to check them out.
