My name is Jael, and I am living with several chronic illnesses that have made daily life increasingly challenging. Recently, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and POTS, which have both contributed to a decline in my health. As a result, I am now in need of adaptive equipment to help me manage my symptoms and maintain some independence.

One of the biggest challenges I face is chronic subluxation of my ankles, which requires me to wear supportive braces. Unfortunately, these braces do not fit into regular shoes, so I need to purchase special shoes designed to accommodate them, as well as tall socks to make wearing the braces more comfortable. In addition, I am losing strength in my hands, making everyday tasks like opening cans difficult. Adaptive tools, such as an electric can opener, would make a significant difference in my ability to care for myself.

I am reaching out for help because these items are essential for my well-being and quality of life, but they are also expensive. I would appreciate all the support I can get.
