My name is Jadyn Patterson, and I am a high school senior. I have always been interested in fashion, starting in middle school and putting elaborate outfits together, but shifted toward an interest and eventually a passion for fashion design in freshman year of high school. I have put hours of work into being accepted into fashion school, and am grateful to have been accepted to Parsons, Pratt Institute, and SAIC among others.

Although I have received a generous scholarship from my #1 school, Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, my family and I do not currently have the means to support my dreams of attending Pratt Institute and studying fashion design. My parents support a household of five (themselves, myself, my older sister who is in college, and my younger brother) on a modest income because my dad is a medical student and unable to work. I have diligently applied to scholarships and am working a part-time job in hopes of lowering the estimated cost for my education.
