Back in July, my sweet Jade was having trouble eating, constantly drooling, and not feeling too good. I took her to our usual vet, and they told me she had gingivitis and they would clean her teeth and have to pull one of them. I get a call, and they say that they didn’t have to pull any teeth and she was good to go. They gave her antibiotics and sent her on her way.
September comes, and she’s having the same problems but 10X worse. I take her back to the same vet, and they give her a steroid shot and say she won’t be having the problem anymore. The other day it started again, so I changed vets and took her today. They showed me her gums, and they are bleeding, raw, her teeth are discolored and look like they are decaying. She’s even having trouble eating blended-up liquid cat food. She hollers when she eats, and she’s lost a couple of pounds. The vet tells me today that she’s going to have to have most of her teeth pulled on Wednesday, and it’ll be around $1,000.
I know it’s last minute, but I’ve spent so much trying to get her help at a vet office that would never tell me a true diagnosis or try to get the problem fixed. Anything would help, and I would appreciate it so much. I’ve had Jade since she was a few weeks old. I’ve bottle-fed her, and she’s been with me for all of her life. She is my baby, and I would do anything for her.
