This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to face. I’m about to go through open heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement, and while I’m going to have to fight through it, the reality is that recovery will keep me out of work for roughly 3 to 4 months and that I'm going through this by myself. I live alone with my service dog. Doing this scares me so much because I'm extremely afraid of leaving her behind and dying on the table. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, so asking for help like this isn’t easy. But right now, any support big or small would make a real difference in helping me get through this without added stress as I don't really have anyone else to turn to. Local churches have their doors closed and all of my friends being across the globe doesn't really help either. My service dog has been stressing because I've been crying almost every time she sees me as I'm panicking that I won't come home to her again and she will be left alone wondering why I never came home.

I'm sharing this for those to keep me in your thoughts and prayers while I fight between the line of possible life and death as man tries to fix the one key part of my body that holds the essence of my existence. I truly appreciate every bit of support and love given in this current struggle and would like for anyone to share this to keep my memory of life alive and to show that I tried.
