Hey! I'm Jade and I'm a 29 year old trans girl from Sydney.

This year I made a decision that is both scary, but feels so correct. I'm running a half marathon to help fund my bottom surgery.

Transitioning has been the best thing I've ever done. It was truly the first choice I made for myself, and it's granted me a whole new life of confidence, and amazing friends I can't imagine my life without. But this final step, while out of reach financially right now, is something I truly feel is necessary for my transition. The surgery itself, recovery time and time off work means I unfortunately can't cover it myself.

I've decided to enter into the HOKA Sydney Half marathon, and I'm documenting the whole journey on Instagram and TikTok. I'm running this marathon to help me get closer to my goal of having this life changing surgery.
