Help Jaden Leedy Travel to Ohio to Speak Her Truth in Court
Hi, my name is Jaden Leedy, and I’m reaching out with a deeply personal request for support.
On August 27th, I will have the opportunity to stand in a Wayne County, Ohio courtroom and deliver my victim impact statement at the sentencing of the man who sexually molested me from the ages of 5 through 10—my uncle, Seth Leedy.
This day will mark a long-awaited moment of truth, justice, and healing. I want to be there in person, to look my abuser in the eye, to speak directly to the judge, and to finally say the words I’ve carried for years. I also want to speak my truth in front of the family members who didn’t believe me, including my grandparents, Marv and Elizabeth Leedy.
But I need help to make that possible.
Traveling to Ohio from out of state comes with expenses I can’t currently cover on my own—fuel, lodging, transportation, meals, and time off work. This trip isn’t a vacation. It’s about reclaiming my voice, showing other survivors that courage matters, and being part of a process that demands accountability and healing.
I’m asking for your support so I can be in that courtroom—not just for myself, but for every survivor who’s ever been silenced, doubted, or dismissed.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing my story.
Thank you for believing in me.
With love and strength,
Jaden
