Jaden was riding his motorcycle on a gravel road early on a Wednesday evening. In an effort to avoid hitting the car in front of him, he applied the brakes, but they locked up and caused the bike to tip over, trapping him underneath and dragging him for about 50 feet. He was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for a broken wrist and severe “road rash” (deep layers of skin torn off) from his ankle and up his calf. This ankle injury is severe (and intensely painful) and his doctors are deliberating whether he will need skin grafts. Jaden’s wrist is in a cast, and he is unable to walk because of the injuries to his ankle and calf.
Jaden is a welder at a company in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The cast on his wrist keeps him from being able to hold the welder, and he is unable to walk because of the injuries to his foot, ankle, and leg. Because this is a new job, he hasn’t been there long enough to qualify for sick leave or PTO. It is not certain yet when he will be released to return to work, but it will be at least 1 to 2 months, more if skin grafts are needed.
During the time Jaden cannot work, he needs help paying his living expenses. Donations will be used to purchase his wound care supplies, including gauze pads, wraps, and Neosporin; food ($400). Donations will help him pay his regular monthly expenses including rent ($1,200), insurance ($250), truck ($322), motorcycle ($180) along with food and medical bills. At this stage, he anticipates his medical bills will be about $1,050, but that number is not certain; it may be higher, depending on how much his insurance covers.
Whatever you can do to help, however small the amount, will help a great deal. Thank you so very much for your prayers and for your financial support.
