Hello, my name is Jada and I’m raising funds to support my sudden move to California.

I have lived in Georgia my whole life with a parent who has emotionally and physically abused me since I was a teenage girl and I am 29 now. I decided to leave this parents home after a month straight of constant bullying. I didn’t feel safe or comfortable in my own home anymore. I was skating by and couch surfing from mid-September to October. My car engine malfunctioned and broke down the second week of October. I was out of options for family and friends in Georgia to help me. I have friends in California who offered covered the cost of my luggage so that I can move here for a fresh start.

Well, I am on week three and I still haven’t landed a job and now I am needing help with necessities; food, toiletries, phone bill and the cost of living. I have to leave my friends home on November 27th, and I can’t afford a place to go yet. My plan is to stay in an Airbnb month to month until I find a roommate.
