Hi, my name is Jada Hampton, and I’m currently enrolled in an accelerated BSN nursing program. Nursing is something I’ve worked toward for years, through loss, caregiving, and moments where quitting would have been easier than pushing forward.
I’ve spent much of my adult life caring for others. I’ve worked as a caregiver and hospice aide, supported families through end-of-life care, and even helped care for my own grandmother during her final chapter. I’ve also volunteered in my community with children and families navigating grief. Being present for people during their most vulnerable moments is what confirmed that nursing is exactly where I’m meant to be.
This program is a 15-month accelerated track, which means the pace is nonstop and the expectations are high. Between classes, exams, and clinical hours, there is very little flexibility to work consistently. I’ve done everything I can to stay afloat, working when possible, applying for scholarships, budgeting carefully, and avoiding student loans, but I’ve reached a point where I need help to keep going.
Right now, I need $1,600 to be able to continue into my third term. After completing this term, I will be 50% finished with my nursing program. Being this close to the halfway mark makes this moment especially emotional for me. I’ve already invested so much time, energy, and heart into this journey, and I am fully committed to seeing it through.
I come from a background where financial stability wasn’t guaranteed, and earning this degree represents breaking generational cycles and building a future rooted in purpose and service. My goal is to become a nurse who leads with empathy, advocates for mental health, and shows up for patients who may feel unseen or unheard.
Any contribution, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, directly helps me stay in school and continue moving forward. Every bit of support reminds me that I’m not doing this alone.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting my journey, and helping me reach this milestone.
With so much gratitude,
Jada
