Help us continue to keep #JadaStrong! Jada's cancer has returned again and more aggressively. She is currently in a chemotherapy drug trial treatment to target the 5 tumors spread throughout her body attacking her. This is Jada’s third cancer spread in five years. In her first fight in 2020, she endured 6 rounds of chemo and 32 rounds of radiation. In 2022, 6 rounds of chemo and 5 rounds of immunotherapy were required. She’s currently on her 6th of 10 rounds of chemo. In these 5 years, Jada has weathered 3 surgeries and 5 hospitalizations totaling months admitted for care. She is an incredible fighter and one of the strongest people we know!

We want to help her in her fight and ease some of her burden. Jada had to make the incredibly difficult decision to stop working and is now disabled. Anyone who knows Jada knows what an enormous sacrifice this was given her commitment to her career. Despite being so ill, she does all she can to be at the cancer center one day each week to volunteer helping others. Her radiant smile is a welcome light and her calming presence helps to bring reassurance, peace, and encouragement to others who are also fighting. Jada is one of the strongest people we will ever know and she is a constant source of inspiration and love in her strength and compassion. No matter how hard things get for her, she continues to pray and check on the rest of us. We are just grateful she agreed to let us ask for help on her behalf. She is a shining example of humanity and the best parts of who we can strive to be.

This fundraising effort is to help get her house ADA compliant and make things easier and safer for her. Five years of medical bills and impacted work have taken a toll. Jada was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3c endometrial cancer in January 2020. She underwent a hysterectomy and fought through 6 rounds of chemo and 32 invasive rounds of radiation. With the world in turmoil, she also faced debilitating illness and many days and nights isolated with those who love her trying to support on video and in person when safe. Jada finally rang that glorious bell and was declared cancer-free. Although she determinedly tried to work as much as possible during her treatments, short-term disability and medical debts left her life deeply impacted. Just when she was working and trying to gain health and strength, her cancer returned in July 2022. This brought worsening treatments, horrific pain, and the continued financial struggle to get by. Jada finally agreed to let us lift her up and give visibility to her needs, and we were so thankful to welcome others to gather and help.

If you’ve met Jada, you know her smile and laugh light up a room! She loves others fiercely and if you need prayer, Jada is the one who will be praying for you. She shelters cats seeking care and is quick to show up when others are in need. She’s a caring, confident, courageous woman who brings so much joy to all of us who love her deeply. We are so thankful for her years of love and friendship and ask others to help support her fight. Jada is a beacon of strength and sassy sunshine and she lifts us all up. The day chemo started, they found a blood clot in her neck, but Jada fought on! When each treatment worsened, escalating into unspeakable illness and deep bone pain, Jada fought on! Through the sleepless nights, anxiety, and separation from loved ones, Jada fought on! Battling cancer takes its evil toll on her body, heart, and finances, leaving insurmountable debt and painful radiation damage, yet Jada fights on! She worked so very hard to try to adjust and rebuild her newfound life.

Jada needs us and this world needs her. Her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, decades of friends, and sweet little kitty cats ask you to please help support her in this fight. We also all ask for continued prayers as each day is so, so difficult. Through it all, Jada manages to pour out her love upon others. Let’s pour our love into Jada and show her she is NOT alone in this fight, no matter the recurrence, no matter the pain, she is DEEPLY loved and treasured by all of us and by God.
