My name is Kimberly Ellis, and I am the mother of a beautiful, strong little girl named Jada.

Jada was born severely premature and as result have Cerebral Palsy. She is non-verbal, quadriplegic, who relies on a wheelchair for mobility and complete care from her family. Despite everything she faces daily, she continues to show strength and resilience that inspires our entire family.

Right now, our home is not safe or accessible for her needs. Jada is confined to her bedroom because we do not have the proper accommodations to safely move her throughout the house. Every day, her father and twin brother have to physically carry her, which is becoming more dangerous as she grows. We worry constantly about her safety—and theirs.

We took a major step to fix this by hiring a contractor to add a handicap accessible bedroom and bath to the lower level of our home. We paid $35,500—nearly everything we had—for the first phase of the project. Unfortunately, the contractor left with our money and never returned, leaving our home incomplete and still unsafe for Jada.

Now, we are left trying to rebuild—emotionally and financially.

We are asking for help to:

• Complete the home addition, the add on will include an extension to our home that has a handicap accessible bedroom and bathroom with a ramp to make our home wheelchair accessible.

• Create a safe and functional living space for Jada

• Relieve the physical strain on our family

• Give Jada the mobility and dignity she deserves
