Hi familia,

If you know Jacqui well, she’s the last person to ask for money but many people are reaching out asking how they can help and this is the best way to at the moment.

This week has been really tough on our family dogs. Neville unfortunately suffered a pretty severe seizure and was immediately admitted to the vet. He’s continued to have mini seizures throughout the weekend so he’s had to be admitted and on a long list of medications. We’re hoping to get an MRI as soon as possible to understand what the issue is but as we wait and he continues to stay at the vet, the vet bills unfortunately keep piling on. Any bit of help would go such a long way for her right now just to alleviate the financial burden and potential long road ahead.

Nevi is still a young doggy and has always been in great shape, we’re beyond confused and devastated but we just want to help him and figure out what’s wrong!

Nevi update: Yesterday he was finally able to get an MRI. Unfortunately the Neurologist and radiologist were unable to give a diagnosis. The MRI was inconclusive. They see something but aren’t sure if it’s a brain tumor or the brain swelling from his seizure. This means ANOTHER MRI in 4-6 weeks. I am looking into doing this MRI in Tijuana to lessen the financial burden. More to come on that.

As you may recall Nevi also bit straight through his tongue during his big seizure. I’m a little frustrated with the first hospital because they didn’t address this and part of his tongue died. During his MRI yesterday a soft tissue surgeon was able to remove the dead part of the tongue and place a feeding tube in Nevi’s neck so he can eat and take his seizure medication while the tongue heals. Apparently dogs can live without a good amount of their tongue. But if you know Nevi, you know he’s a big kisser and I’m nervous to see how that goes in the future without his tongue.

Praying I get to finally take my boy home today. I’ll be home for the next 4-6 weeks if anyone wants to visit.
