After surviving homelessness, trauma, and the loss of everything she owned, Jacque is asking for support to rebuild her life with dignity. $10,000 is needed urgently to get her started with mental health and medical treatment. The goal is to reach $30,000 which will meet all her needs.

Jacque Daley is a proud Hamptonian and graduate of the University of the West Indies, where she earned a degree in Economics. Her early career included work at Statistical Institute of Jamaica and in the banking industry, before she migrated to Canada and the United States.

Jacque was a contributing writer for Urban Dialogue Magazine and the author of three published books.

Years ago, she suffered a near-fatal accident that resulted in a brain injury, leaving her with lasting mental health challenges. Her 15 years of homelessness, living on the streets of Florida and New York were filled with unimaginable hardship, the loss of her home, job, book inventory and all other personal belongings. They were tough times that left deep wounds and she now requires urgent psychiatric treatment.

This is a story of how mental illness left undiagnosed or untreated can ravage one’s very core. Though her siblings are taking care of her now, this is only short term.

Jacque wishes to rebuild her life with your kindness and generosity. This campaign supports her transition back to a life of independence.
