This is not something I ever imagined I would have to write, but life has taken an unexpected turn, and I’m reaching out for help during a very difficult time.

What started as a few heart-related episodes in December and January turned into something much bigger on February 27, when I was sent to the ER and doctors discovered a nodule in my left lung. After further testing, including a PET scan on March 15, I learned that the cancer is active and aggressive.

Since then, everything has moved very quickly. I met with my surgeon on March 17, and I am now scheduled for lung surgery on April 10 to remove the upper lobe of my left lung. Before that, I have one more important step—a heart stress test on March 31 to ensure I’m strong enough for surgery.

As you can imagine, the medical bills are already adding up rapidly between testing, scans, specialist visits, and the upcoming surgery. On top of that, I will need time to recover, which will impact my ability to work.
