Help Lay Dominic to Rest and Support Jacqueline and Madeline
Donation protected
Hello Dear Friends,
I am Jacqueline Morenovilla's uncle, Vincent Salazar. I am honored and blessed to be able to help my niece and her child with this fundraiser. On Jacqueline's behalf, this GoFundMe account has been created for the Morenovilla family: my nephew-in-law, Dominic, my niece, Jacqueline, and their newborn baby, Madeline. I have witnessed their time of meeting and dating, their marriage, and the beginning of their family. It was a pleasure to see Dominic and Jacqueline performing on stage together in several memorable productions. Many others and I are now heartbroken that we will no longer have that privilege.

Dominic Morenovilla tragically passed away after a short illness a day before Christmas Eve on December 23, 2024, at the age of 30.
Known by his stage name Dominic Demay, he was a light to his family and the many people who enjoyed his stage performances within the local theatrical arts community: a truly talented performer and an incredible teacher. Dominic’s gift as an actor, singer, and musician illuminated every stage he graced, but his greatest legacy lies in the countless young hearts and minds he inspired. Through his work with the Boys & Girls Club of Kern County, he shared his artistry and instilled confidence, passion, and dedication in every young performer he mentored. Both his impact on stage and upon souls will never be forgotten. Dominic’s light will continue to shine in the performances of those he taught, and his spirit will forever live on in the art he so deeply loved. He will be greatly missed, but his influence will remain, inspiring generations of artists to come. His contributions to the community through the arts as an actor, a producer, and a teacher allowed him to make many friends and open many doors to a diverse career path that he was beginning to explore.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to address the needs of Dominic's wife, Jacqueline Morenovilla, who he married last year on July 14, 2023, and their newborn daughter, Madeline, who was born on November 12, 2024. They had recently started their life together and, needless to say, hadn’t thought or planned about end-of-life decisions. This left Jacqueline and Madeline without life or burial insurance to cover immediate costs for her and her baby or the cost of a funeral for Dominic.

We are asking for financial support for a funeral for Dominic and to support Jacqueline and Madeline to get them through to the point where she can begin to support herself and her daughter. At this time, Dominic was the sole earner. The family will discuss the type of burial soon, but referencing a recent price list from a local funeral home from June 17, 2024 , there is quite a large range of costs. We are hoping for $12,000 but the initial goal will be set for $7,000. When her family is closer to confirming funeral choices, I will share an update with you on the funeral expenses and adjust the goal as needed. My niece, Jacqueline, has requested that I set up and manage this account and the donations to be sent to her parents' bank account, Salvador and Clara Salazar. Any donations would be appreciated, and we would be grateful to receive them.

We were not the only family going through difficulties during the recent holidays, but Dominic’s passing away just before Christmas so suddenly was difficult for the whole family to comprehend. If you feel inspired to help, all donations will be used responsibly to help Jacqueline and Madeline lay Dominic to rest and get them through this tough time. If you cannot support them financially, please pray for Jacqueline and her family to have peace, strength, and courage to overcome this tragedy.
Dominic leaves behind his wife, Jacqueline Morenovilla; his oldest daughter, Symphony, 12; his son, Theodore, 4; and his youngest newborn daughter, Madeline.

The holidays are a time when we are with our family, friends, and loved ones or at least thinking about them. We hope your holidays have been going well and you can feel love and gratitude for what you have. We have been trying our best to do the same and keep our hearts strong together. Also, during the holidays, too, many remember Christ's coming into this world. We have as well and found it a comfort.
Please consider donating to this important cause that will allow Jacqueline and her family to begin to move forward: first, by laying Dominic to rest and second, by giving Jacqueline some time to establish herself after enduring such a challenging moment.

Again, thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Vincent Salazar
