Hello, everyone. My name is Arpita Judy, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of Jacob Ramirez, a 24-year-old father of four who has faced unimaginable challenges in his fight against cancer.

Just after Christmas 2023, Jacob discovered a lump under his right arm. The biopsy results were devastating—a rare form of sarcoma that would change his life forever. The tumor was too large to remove initially, forcing Jacob to undergo months of intense radiation and ultimately surgery. Throughout this harrowing journey, Jacob and his family relied on their unwavering faith in God, and they celebrated the miracle of being cancer-free just four months ago.

But joy turned to despair when, just a few months later, Jacob felt another lump. In an instant, their world came crashing down again. The oncologist delivered the heart-wrenching news: the cancer had returned, this time more aggressive than ever. The only option left was amputation of his right arm. Jacob’s heart was breaking, not just for himself but for his family—his wife and four young kids who look up to him as their rock. This life-altering surgery would not only take away part of that identity, but also his ability to provide for his family..

With the love and support of his family, along with their unwavering faith in God, Jacob bravely underwent surgery. While he celebrated surviving this critical step, the journey is far from over. The emotional and financial toll is immense. Now, he faces the daunting reality of adjusting to life with a prosthetic arm, which is incredibly expensive and not fully covered by insurance. The weight of this burden is overwhelming, and as Jacob faces this new chapter, he needs our help.
