Help Jacob—And Kids Like Him with Mental Health Challenges —Overcome Educational Trauma
Jacob is a brave and resilient high school student now learning alone at home—cut off from classmates—because of repeated humiliation, bullying, and unsupported medical and mental health needs at his public school. Jacob suffers from major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and IBS. Rather than receiving the empathy and accommodations every child deserves, Jacob was publically punished, bullied, and denied dignity.
He was assaulted by a peer in gym class, then made to sweep the gym floor in front of peers who teased and recorded him—deepening his trauma. He received in-school suspension simply for using the bathroom, despite irritable bowel syndrome. These events have forced Jacob into Hospital/Homebound learning, isolated and struggling to recover.
What happened to Jacob is happening to other children with disabilities. **We are fighting not only for Jacob, but to change a broken system for every child facing school-based trauma, humiliation, and neglect.** Our mission is to secure a safe, healing educational placement and advocate for permanent reform in special education discipline and disability justice.
**Your support will help with:**
- Tuition for a trauma-informed, inclusive private school for Jacob
- Therapy and recovery costs
- Legal and advocacy efforts to create systemic change for all kids
Every donation helps rebuild Jacob’s future and fuels a movement for respect, kindness, and justice in schools. Thank you for joining our fight for Jacob—and for all children who deserve better.
