Support Jacob's Fight Against a Brain Tumor
Donation protected
On May 14th, the unthinkable happened to our beloved brother, son, and friend, Jacob Dockett.
What started as a completely normal day quickly turned into a nightmare. Around 6 PM, Jacob suddenly experienced a Grand Mal seizure with no prior health issues or warning. He was rushed by ambulance to Portage Health Systems, where he suffered three more seizures. The medical team worked quickly, but without a clear cause, Jacob was sedated, intubated, and life-flighted to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for further care.
While in the ICU, an MRI revealed devastating news — Jacob has a fist-sized tumor on his left frontal lobe. He is scheduled for brain surgery on Monday, May 19th, to remove the tumor. Following surgery, he will remain in the ICU, then in MedSurg, and face a long road to recovery.
Just a few months ago, Jacob made the decision to leave his job and relocate back to Michigan to help our parents. He had just started working again at his former job at Kirkish Furniture but had not yet re-enrolled in health insurance when this medical emergency struck.
Because of this, Jacob is now facing a massive medical bill without coverage. On top of that, he will be out of work for at least 8 weeks while he recovers from brain surgery. He’ll need help covering basic living expenses, medications, and ongoing medical care during this difficult time.
Jacob has always been the first person to lend a hand to others. Now, he needs our help. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to him and to our family. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this campaign to help us reach others who might be able to support.
Please keep Jacob in your prayers.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
