Jacob is my son, my whole world, and that world shattered when at just ten years old he developed a brain tumor on his pituitary gland. The tumor destroyed his pituitary gland, causing life-altering medical complications. Jacob’s thyroid no longer functions, he is unable to produce his own cortisol, and he cannot produce growth hormone. He has been on medications to help him manage these conditions, but he still has difficult days. After Jacob’s most recent MRI, we learned the tumor had grown back and he would need neurosurgery again to remove it. His tumor type is called a Crook Cell Adenoma (CCA), a rare, usually aggressive, and invasive subtype of pituitary adenoma—less than 1% of all cases worldwide.

The costs of Jacob’s hospital bills and ongoing medical care are significant, and every bit of support will go directly to his treatment and recovery. We want to give Jacob the best chance at healing, and your kindness will help us cover the expenses that come with his care—whether it’s hospital stays, medications, or the therapies he’ll need as he recovers. We know that in Matthew 18:20, 'When two or three are gathered in His name He is there with us.' I believe God includes when we are praying in prayer over a common cause.
