At just 36 years old, Jacob Vargas is facing one of the biggest challenges of his life. He will soon undergo open-heart triple bypass surgery, a major procedure that will require weeks of recovery and time away from work. Jacob is a devoted husband to Abby (Davis) Vargas, a family man, and a hardworking employee at a small appliance repair company. Unfortunately, because his employer does not offer long-term disability benefits, he is facing not only the physical and emotional stress of surgery, but also the financial burden of being unable to work while he heals.
As anyone who knows him can attest, Jacob is the kind of person who is always willing to lend a hand and help others. Now, he and his family need our help. Your donations will go toward mortgage and household bills, utilities and groceries, medical expenses and prescriptions, transportation to follow-up appointments, and providing peace of mind so Jacob and Abby can focus on healing and getting back to the life he loves.
No amount is too small, and if you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to our family. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Together, we can help lift some of the burden and allow Jacob to concentrate on what matters most—his recovery and spending time with his loved ones. With heartfelt gratitude, Lori and Jim Slonecker (Abby’s Aunt and Uncle).
