Hello!
It is with a heavy heart that I am setting this up for my cousin Jacob, his beautiful lady Sonya, and their unborn son. I am asking that our family come together and donate to help them with medical expenses, hotels, gas/food, and to cover the cost of living while they will be having to take some time off work to make sure that their baby enters this world safely. Every dollar counts, and every dollar is appreciated. If you can't donate monetarily, please add their family to your prayers, because most importantly, EVERY prayer counts. Here is a message from Sonya and Jacob:
Our sweet baby boy was diagnosed with Isthmus Aortic Hypoplasia at 31 weeks gestation. We were told by our team of providers that we need to deliver in Portland at Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center, hundreds of miles from home. This is to ensure our baby has prompt access to qualified providers for his procedure, that our local hospital cannot provide. With this new diagnosis and my earlier diagnosis of Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, we are being closely monitored until delivery. We will be traveling back and forth to Portland to see Maternal Fetal Medicine at Legacy hospital. This has caused unexpected costs for hotels, vehicle maintenance, and food. Jake and I also have to take time off work due to the out-of-town appointments. For those who don't know, Jake works for a smaller construction company that doesn't have paid sick time. We have to put our hard-working pride aside and need to ask for help during this time to keep our heads above water and our bills paid. Once our baby is born, he will be in the NICU in Portland. We have no clue how long this amount of time could be, but we know he cannot come home until he is stable and recovered from surgery. Jake is unable to take more than a week off work, being the sole financial provider once the baby is born. With this, we will be adding the cost of housing for me to stay in Portland to be there for our son along with my daughter, and Jake will be traveling back and forth weekly from Central Oregon to Portland. We greatly appreciate any and all donations that are made towards this financial hardship. Lastly, I want to add that we are trusting in God wholeheartedly. We know that His plan is bigger than we could ever imagine, and we are praying for the best outcome for our son.
