Support Jacob and Kelly's Family After Stroke

Hello! This is Chris and Michelle Hotchkin, and we are making this GoFundMe for our cousin Jacob, his wife Kelly, and their 4 children.

On Sunday evening, when Jacob came home from work, he learned that his wife was not feeling well and thought she caught the virus that their daughter had. She was in and out of the bathroom throwing up.

This one particular time, Jacob noticed she was in the bathroom for a very long period of time and knocked on the door to check on her. After not getting a response, he busted open the door to find Kelly on the floor passed out.

He called 911, and they found that she had suffered a stroke due to a blood clot in her brain that they knew nothing about. They rushed her to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in East Brunswick, where she had emergency surgery to remove the clot.

The doctor can't confidently give Jacob a vision of what his wife's recovery is going to look like. It could take a week, months, a year or more, or she could never fully recover at all.

Needless to say, she will be out of work for a very long time, and Jacob cannot afford to miss work as finances are already tight. Regardless, he will be by his wife's side all while losing money from not working.
