In Loving Memory of Baby Blaze
My name is Jacob Griffin, and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this.
On October 6th, I lost my beautiful baby boy, Blaze, at just 2 months old. There are no words to fully express the heartbreak of losing a child. Blaze brought more love and light into my life in his short time here than I could have ever imagined. His presence was a gift — his smile, his tiny fingers wrapped around mine, the way he looked at me like I was his whole world. And he was mine.
This loss has shattered me in ways I can’t put into words. Grieving the death of my son has made it impossible to return to work right now. Every day is a fight just to get out of bed and breathe through the pain. I’ve had to take time away from my job to try and process, heal, and simply survive this unbearable moment in my life.
But as the bills continue to come in — funeral costs, living expenses, and the financial strain of missed work — I’m reaching out for help. It’s not easy for me to ask, but if you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean the world. Your support will help me cover essential expenses during this time of mourning and give me the space I need to grieve without the added weight of financial stress.
If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page would still help immensely. And if you’ve experienced loss, or know someone who has, please just keep Blaze’s name in your heart for a moment. That alone means more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for holding space for Blaze and me.
With love and gratitude,
Jacob and Jailyn
